Ok, you have downloaded a great program, it may look hard to configure at start but it is not. Lets do it together.

First of all, install the program by executing the "bg353s.exe". After, you need to go in your BG3 folder (which is located by default in: c:/program Files/BG3) and execute "BG3.exe" to start the program. You will then see something like this. We encourage you to read all the EULA before you click "I Agree".





Once you agree, the program will open and you should get this screen. This is a SETUP WIZARD, it will help you to set your BG3 properly. You can use it or set your BG3 "manually" by clicking "NO".





If you have set BG3 with the setup Wizzard, there should be no need to set it "manually".

But if you choose to set it manually or if it still don't work after you set it through the setup wizzard, here is what you need to do:
First, click the "config" button.





By clicking the "Config" button, you will obtain this screen.
Note that you are in the "Login Settings" section.





Now select "Use Basic Configuration" and fill the appropriate field, wich means:
1 - Login Informations
    a) Username
    b) Password
    c) Default Channel (if that one is not filled, it will send you in "The Void")
    d) The server you want to connect to.

2 - CD Keys and miscellaneous
    Make sure to fill the appropriate fields with appropriate CDkeys.

You should get something like shown on the screen shot below.

Note: You can also use "Use Advanced Configuration" if you want to. It is not really hard to configure but we do not suggest you to use it unless you are used to BG3 configuration.





Now Select "Files Settings". You should obtain a screen like shown below. Now you need to set:
1 - Event Logging: There is no need to change anything here.
2 - File Locations: These are the "default installation" for each games. Make sure that those paths (game or hashes files address) are correct and change it, if it needs to be changed, by using the "Browse" button.

Also, You can check the "Launch My Bot On Start" box (but make sure that the path is good). By doing this, UltimateBot will automaticly load when you will open the BG3 program.





Now Select "Files Settings". You should obtain a screen like shown below. Here are the options you need to select for for "maximum" efficiency but it's up to you to set it as you want.





Now it is VERY important that you click "Save", if you don't, everything that you set will be lost.





You will be back to the Main Screen of BG3.





Now a very important part: Bot setting (UltimateBot here):
  1. Click on "setting" on the main screen of the bot (the screen below will appear)
  2. Fill the settings as following:
    1. Name: Anything (it does'nt matter)
    2. Password: Anything
    3. Home Channel: Your channel (the same one as you set on BG3)
    4. On the server section: select "Other" and type "localhost" (without quotes) or 127.0.0.1 (wich are the same) and then click "Add"
Now your setting should be like it is on the screenshot below. Note that these setting are the same for any telnet bot.




You are almost ready to connect your bot but before to do so, it is IMPORTANT that you select the appropriate Log on Type according to the cdkey you are using

Now click on the "LISTEN" buton. The following text should appear:
[12:48:23 PM]BGKey Clearance Granted.
[12:48:23 PM]Listening For bot Connection on port 6112...

If not, there is something that is not set properly (Your cd key, the server that you try to log on, your "Login informations", etc.).





Now all you have to do is to connect your bot and everything should work fine... If so, these informations will appear on the BG3 screen, your bot will connect and your BG3 will be sent to the tray (if you selected that option in the "Options" section of the Config screen).
